Happy learners blog well
Snow, snow, snow! Everywhere!
Covers the ground, here and there!
A blanket of frost,
With a snowman, completely lost!
The snow falls down,
covering his nose,
down, down, down, to the ground!
His face, once happy,
children all clappy,
Is now a frown.
He stands alone,
all bare,
very forlorn,
on a snowy hill.
If only a child,
so happy and wild,
would come along and play!

Dear Charlotte,
Your poem is amazing. I like how you have made it rhyme ‘…frost’ and ‘…lost’. I also like how you have made the reader really imagine how the ground looks ‘ A blanket of frost.’ Its a really good poem Charlotte!

Dear Mr Heely,
Thank you for a lovely comment! We loved the snow in Bolton, it was about 10cm deep on Saturday! I had a lot of fun sledging and making snowmen! I think it is very impressiv you made a tortoise out of snow! Very creative!

Dear Charlotte,
I really enjoyed this poem. I really like how you have described it so I can really visualise it in my head. I also really like how you have repeated the same word for the first sentance ‘Snow, snow, snow!’ Maybe next time you could add some adverbs, but I sill enjoyed it without! Overall I really enjoyed it. Well done Charlotte, and keep up the good work!
