Tulsi’s 100 word challenge week 6

Slowly, we both walked in one step after another.  The floorboards creaked.  The door closed shut.  We strided into the living door.   Windows wide open.  Wind gushing in.  The hairs at the back of my neck stand on end.  We heard something or someone it was coming from the kitchen.  Tip-Toeing toward the dinning room(which leads to the kitchen where the noise was coming from).   There was a small looking round table in a remote corner.  We saw a door.  We saw something moving.  There was another door in the opposite corner which leads to the garden.  What was that…?

What super writing Tulsi, well done! I love the way that you have used those empty words and short sentences to make this full of suspense and tension. I just wanted to keep on reading to find out more. There is no such word as ‘strided’ Tulsi, what should the word be instead. Please add this as a comment as well as letting me know which ones you have commented on.
