100 word challenge

Filed Under (General News) by on 14-10-2012 and tagged ,

The temperature dropped suddenly and I started to get very cold, so I decided to look out of the  window and realised it was  snowing heavily.  Then I put on my winter coat and my thick gloves and played in the snow.  After a few minutes  I realised  my  friends were  building a gigantic  igloo, I helped them finish it off.  Later that day me and my friends  entered a sledging competition at the top of a steep hill.  I was first to go and got an impressive 70.09 meters down when my friend  fell off the back and started to roll down the hill………

I love playing in the snow, don’t you Daniel. Remember how to build up a brain movie in your readers head by including lots of description.

    Hello Daniel,

It seems you were having a snow day when the temperatures dropped. The idea of building an igloo is creative. It always amazed me an Inuit (eskimo) igloo could be made of ice yet can be warm inside but I realised they can protect us from arctic winds.

I see Mrs Duxbury has suggested you build brain movies for the reader. This is good advice. When a story gives interesting descriptions, readers do create pictures in their minds. I know I do.

I hope you keep entering the 100WC. 🙂
